This blog, though a simple and standard template, keeps the viewers attention. It has a few additions that really caught my eye, and I really enjoyed playing with the Voki character (an avatar that talks), which gives the blog a little room viewer to computer interactivity. Matt has also added a very nice video bar at the top of his page to allow readers to further investigate certain topics with ease (e.g. his favorite guitar post). In this blog’s content, Matt Brumage offers short critiques on things that he finds interesting, namely video gaming and music. He offers a nice short review for a moderately priced guitar accompanied with a video. He also discusses, in some length his personal experiences with the new Play station 3. Upon purchasing one for himself and using it, he offers readers the chance to understand his overall positive experience with the system. On the whole, I feel like the blog can serve as his own personal advertisement for the things that he really enjoys and hopes to recommend to other people. I think this blog, thus far is successful. I would however like to see a few more posts, but with it being a new blog, I find that getting started is the hardest part. I like that he has incorporated multiple interactive elements such as the Widgets, and it also gave me a few ideas for my own blog as well. This blog intends to give readers insight to not only Matt’s personal preferences for entertainment, but also as a window for viewers to possibly venture out and try one of the gaming systems or musical instruments that he discusses. This blog helps the reader to not only discover a little bit of Matt’s interests, but to help them realize some of their own as well.
